Stellantis-owned Fiat has introduced its Topolino two-seat electric microcar to the U.S. market with a starting price of $13,995. The vehicle, which revives the name of Fiat's iconic 1930s model, weighs just over 1,000 pounds and measures approximately 8 feet in length.

• Battery: 5.4-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion with 5-hour full charge time
• Initial top speed: 19 mph
• Upgraded speed capability: up to 25 mph with LSV kit

Market Positioning:

The Topolino will initially target private communities, resorts, and golf courses. However, from late summer, owners can purchase an upgrade kit to convert the vehicle into a federally regulated Low-Speed Vehicle (LSV), enabling access to certain public roads at speeds up to 25 mph.

Strategic Implications:

This launch expands Fiat's North American electric vehicle lineup beyond the 500e city car. CEO Olivier Francois emphasized the brand's commitment to its small-car heritage, differentiating Fiat in a market dominated by larger vehicles.
